This study tapped the rich and grounded knowledge of Canadian return to work (RTW) coordinators to understand their strategies for managing return to work among clients with common mental health disorders associated with work absence. The study also examined how RTW Coordinators navigate complex conditions and differing needs of multiple parties involved with RTW (including workers, employers, health care providers, insurers) while working at the frontline of complex claims management. The study took place January 2018 – May 2020
